"The Collie river marathon, one of the oldest
multisport races in Western Australia is on, soon, (October
14th)
Think about doing this premiere event
NOW.
Mainpeak is pleased to once again be
supporting a local race and continuing our tradition of encouraging a Western
Australian sporting/recreational culture and the idea of getting out and giving
it a go.
Use your Avon fitness and (newly associated
running ability) to do it as a solo or do it in a team to make it a bit more
fun. With 10 entry categories (including schools) and entry fees very
reasonable ($60 for a solo slightly more for a team). This is guaranteed to be a
more pleasant paddle than the avon (only 10km and real water) and a great day.
The race is a true multisport race with road
cycling, horse riding (optional), canoe/kayaking, swimming, mountain biking and
a run. As it is a one day event it is achievable as a solo if you have a
background in some of these skills and a good base fitness (and are training
now!). This would give a great satisfaction to all who complete the
race.
If you prefer to experience it as a team the
race becomes more than achievable for people who want an adventure and have some
fitness. Doing it as a team makes a great social outing in the beautiful Western
Australian countryside without wrecking your body or committing to excessive
levels of training.
Come and take part in the premiere multisport
race in Western Australia.
Entry forms are available at all Mainpeak
shops or online with more details at
Hope to see you there.
